Why is the CIA in Syria helping arm the rebels to fight Assad? Black operations budgets must be run differently than regular defense budgets, because I think that that is tantamount to helping the opposition in Syria win the war by having America secretly bankroll the action? Arming the rebels means that someone’s paying for arms sales, right?
Is this all done to offset the influence of al-Qaida, to prevent it from getting bigger? Does the Pentagon’s budget stipulate that the CIA can sneak about like this or is their budget system secondary or tertiary to the military budget and it’s done at the behest of a select few secret bureaucrats? It’s probably not unlike NSA’s budgeting schema. It’s a mad, mad world..
