Potentially Habitable Worlds..
From Astronomy magazine: “Scientists have found the largest number of planets around Sun-like stars. However, the search for exoplanets has focused largely on stars like our own because scientists thought them most likely to harbor life. New research, though, suggests that the more-abundant red dwarfs (M-type stars) might be suitable homes for extraterrestrials.”
Habitable Exoplanets Breakdown: B-type – 9 planets found (largest type of star), A-type – 10 planets found, F-type – 100 planets found, G-type – 352 planets found (the Sun is a G-type star), K-type – 223 planets found, and M-type – 60 planets found (these are red dwarf stars).
